What airlines fly to Seychelles?

I often hear – how one gets to Seychelles? Most of the travelers use connection flights but there are also direct flights. What airlines fly directly to Seychelles?

1.Emirates (EK)
This airline flies from Dubai (the United Arab Emirates) to Mahe island (the Seychelles Islands). Flight duration – 4h 40m. Dubai International airport (DXB) is a home hub for Emirates and the global hub for the world. This hub connects about 157 destinations. It is easy to find this airline in any country and fly to Seychelles via Dubai.
Dubai Airport and Emirates are a good choice. The airline has a great aircraft fleet. The airport is big and comfortable.

2.Etihad Airways (EY)
Etihad flies from Abu Dhabi (the United Arab Emirates) to Mahe island (flight duration 4h 40m). It is the national airline of the UAE. On the grounds that this airline has a codeshare agreement it has more than 400 destinations.

These direct flights are a basis for the connecting flights. If there is no direct flight to Seychelles from the required country, it is not too bad. Connecting flights are good because:

1. One can make a stopover or a short tour in the connecting city. Airlines have stopover packages with special offers, promotions, etc. One can get a free sightseeing tour, visa, a hotel room, etc. It depends from the airline chosen.
2. If 10 hours sitting on a plane is difficult and too tiring, it is better to divide the flight into two parts with a connecting flight.
3. One can visit a duty free, restaurants, shops, a pharmacy and other stores during a connecting flight. One can buy things that were not taken before the flight, walk around the airport, have a rest in a lounge, etc.

But before choosing a connecting flight, one should check the airport where the connection would take place. Is this airport suitable enough? Are there the required services like lounges, hotels, shops, etc.

It is rather popular to visit two countries in one trip. For example, one can make shopping in Dubai or Istanbul and then spend a vacation in Seychelles.
To sum up, Seychelles has a good choice of flights. The direct flights, from big hubs, help to expand a flight network. The Seychelles airport is happy to receive the passengers.
