When will Seychelles open?
The Seychelles Tourism Board and Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Tourism have updated the data in the list of allowed entry countries from 10.11.2020.
This small country with a small population already at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic took all measures to protect itself from the spread of the disease. All flights to the country were stopped and the airport was closed.
For a country where most of the economy is occupied by tourism – it was not easy. When the situation in the world began to stabilize, the Seychelles rushed to resume flights. And on August 1, 2020 the Seychelles International Airport was opened for regular commercial flights, but with the condition that passengers will be allowed for entry only from the list of Permitted countries. Countries have been divided into 2 categories.
Category 1: Low and medium risk permitted countries. Category 2: countries that have been granted special status because the number of cases exceeds the allowable level of disease, so they are subject to an additional set of restrictive measures. Changes in the lists are constantly occurring depending on the cases of COVID-19 in the country from the list. These changes are followed by the Seychelles. Last changes from 10.11.2020
There are different conditions for entry to the Seychelles for countries from Category 1 and Category 2.
